Flurocarbon is clearer and thinner than Nylon for the same breaking strains. This material gives a clear advantage on waters where the fish are wary of leaders or where the water is very clear. Flurocarbon is said to “sink” however it will only sink once it has cut through the surface tension and then only sinks a fraction faster than Nylon once under the surface.
