Moose snot is very similar to Gink, it is a gel floatant. Apply a tiny 'dab' of the gel to your finger tip, rub thumb and finger together to soften the gel then apply sparingly to your dry flies and emerger's. Applying too much floatant can have the opposite effect of overloading the fly and making it sink
